Cut by hand. Fitted to you. Made to outlast you.
Every suit is cut from a pattern drafted for one person and sewn by hand in our workroom above the shop — three fittings, eight to ten weeks, and a lifetime of alterations.

The process
Three fittings, one cutter, one suit.

I
The first fitting
An hour in the fitting room: thirty-odd measurements, how you stand, how you’ll wear it, and the cloth.

II
Cutting
Your own paper pattern, drafted by hand, then chalked and cut from the cloth by one cutter.

III
Baste and forward fittings
The suit is tacked together and fitted on you, taken apart, adjusted, and fitted again.

Cloth
Two thousand cloths, from the best mills in England and Italy.
- Worsted
- The everyday suit: smooth, hard-wearing, right in every season but high summer.
- Flannel
- Soft and warm, in grey and chalk stripe — the autumn suit.
- Tweed
- For the country and the weekend: jackets that outlast their owners.
- Linen & mohair
- Cool, crisp cloths for a Tennessee summer.
